Vervate

Creative design for a leading Brighton PR & corporate photography agency.

The Client

Vervate is the new name for established photography agency ‘Brighton Togs’. They decided to re-brand the business and target two specific vertical markets where they’d experienced great success previously; PR and Corporate.

The Brief

A new name meant a new identity. Our job was to design a new logo, create beautiful digital branding and design and develop a striking bespoke website that showcased Vervate’s work suitably, generated enquiries, captured data and integrated fully with their social media channels.

Logo and Branding

We used the letter V not only to represent the company name Vervate, but to also symbolise their specialisation in two markets, joining at a central point, which we agreed represented their agency well.

The client wanted a contemporary finish and something that would sit well over photography; so we concluded on broadening the logo footprint by replicating the lines to make the V more distinctive and present, without detracting attention from the photography work itself.

Website Design and Development

As always, we designed and developed the website to be mobile, tablet and desktop friendly; fully responsive across all devices. The main objective of the site was to generate enquiries and capture visitors’ data. We did this by showcasing their portfolio of work, framing it with the new, clean and contemporary branding so it caught the eye, and we then complimented this with a smooth user experience strategy and clear calls to action.

The client wanted to update their work and manage the backend of the site independently and with ease. We used the WordPress CMS to deliver this and provided full training to the client from our development experts.

Content creation was also a key part of the project and was developed through a series of workshops, interviews and a couple of lunches; this helped us better understand the language which Vervate wanted to use, resulting in the creation of effective copy which was carefully generated and featured throughout the site.
