First we eat with our eyes
With a strong background in the industry going back many years, Neptik and forward-thinking hospitality brands have always been a great fit. Here are a selection of some fantastic hospitality projects we’ve been fortunate to work on.
Projects have included the design and development of leading Sussex artisan bakery chain, The Flour Pot Bakery, to specialist development projects such as that carried out for innovative London office catering firm City Pantry, who needed a pattern library (a website broken down into small re-usable components) which could be used by their in-house development team to build multiple websites, apps and other pages as required.
Indicative of Neptik’s global reach, we were brought in to produce web design and development work for luxury Dubai Michelin star restaurant, Demoiselle by renowned chef brothers, Chris and Jeff Galvin. Demoiselle launched in Dubai in March 2017 following the opening of their UK Harrods restaurant in 2012 and the brothers wanted a brochure-site to showcase the luxurious new restaurant’s chic interior design and exquisite culinary offerings.
Neptik also completed web design, development and system integrations for award winning zero waste Brighton restaurant, Silo. This ground-breaking business needed a website that showcased the food as well as the zero waste ethos, so that one didn’t overshadow the other, something which was very important to the client. As well as the food branding and design aspects of the website, we also set out to improve functionality, user interface and user experience o to best serve Silo’s customers.
Another restaurant we enjoyed working with was The Chimney House in Brighton. They were after a brand refresh and logo that best represented the personality of the traditional British pub restaurant that could be incorporated across their menus, receipts, signage and online presence.
We also provided logo design, branding and website design for popular Brighton restaurant, We Love Falafel, which was a very exciting project to work on (not least because our Brighton office is based only streets away from their premises, and we love a short-walk local meeting that may or may not involve eating great food!).
Brighton’s boho bistro Kooks already had a unique look and stylistic approach to showcasing its food and we wanted to maintain this attractive design aesthetic across the new website we developed. Demonstrating our artistic flair, we also undertook illustration and menu design for award winning Brighton pub and restaurant, The Basketmakers Arms.
We worked with local luxury pub and B&B The Ram Inn to implement a new online booking system on a fresh new web design, accompanied by a new logo. For now-legendary fish and chip shop, Wolfies, we were brought in for web development and design duties. We were keen to keep the site design clean, and crisp with an emphasis on beautiful photography of the food.
