Me Learning is an established, ten year old award winning e-learning platform, providing over 130 CPD accredited e-learning courses to Businesses, Local Government, the non-profit sector and personal users.
We were delighted when they decided to choose Neptik to design and build their new website, logo and brand.
Me Learning approached Neptik with a very detailed brief of their commercial and technical goals and objectives. Previously their old website had not been designed with the appropriate balancing of provisioning between each customer channel. The website was serving their personal consumer market well, but improved capturing of users from other markets (B2B & b2LA) and subsequent tailored journeys for customers from these markets were a high priority.
The new website needed to be developed to support MeLearning with more flexible built in marketing tools, integrated with the e-learning platform, include ecommerce functionality and meet WGAG AA accessibility standards.
In addition to the new website design and build, we were also commissioned with the logo and branding design contract, which was launched across all digital platforms when the website was released.
Design and development.
Over a six month period we joined up with the MeLearning marketing and compliance teams. Following design workshops we completed collaborative sprints on web design, creating individual modules to complies pages and further support future web marketing initiatives.
The development specification was well structured, but expansive. We coded the bespoke designs using WordPress as the CMS, the ecommerce functionality was handled by WooCommerce and we integrated the system with MeLearning’s inhouse API for their online learning platform, Blue LMS.
The project was a great success and we continue to enjoy working with the MeLearning team on further developing and maintaining their website.
New site, new brand.
When designing a website we take time and care in creating the assets that bring it to life and make it unique. Throughout the process we are developing colour palettes, selecting fonts, creating straplines and effectively nurturing a theme that can easily be transcribed into a brand.
By the end of this process, during the design phase of the website we had literally reinvented Me Learning’s brand identity to the point where it would have been rude to not let it influence the design of their company logo.
The new logo was kept simple, inline with the web design and worked fantastically with the new company strapline of ‘Learning Made Easy’.
