Michelin bistro in Dubai

The Client

The Galvin brothers are Michelin-starred chefs with a number of restaurants in the UK, including La Chapelle in London and The Pompadour in Edinburgh. Demoiselle launched in Dubai in March 2017 following the opening of their UK Harrods restaurant in 2012. The new bistro is situated in Dubai’s famous City Walk and boasts bespoke furnishings and a handcrafted French menu with a British twist.

The Brief

When presented with the opportunity of designing and developing a website for Michelin starred chefs Ben was extremely excited. Most notably because of his love of food and his experience as an apprentice chef in the 90’s under Michel Roux Jnr, at Le Gavroche in Mayfair.

The client wanted a striking brochure website to showcase the luxurious new Dubai based restaurant’s chic interior design and exquisite culinary offering. It needed to resemble their heritage, but also fit in with the Harrod’s branding.

What we did

They had some exquisite branding to hand that was developed before we got involved. 

Following designing and developing other food based websites such as Silo and the Flourpot Bakery we were confident about what we could produce. We understood the Galvin Brothers were from the gastronomice era, rather than a new style restaurant, so we ensured that was reflected in the feel of the site, pushing on classic elegance over modern boldness. 

The final site was dressed with illustrative touches and a bespoke design, developed on a WordPress platform. We also incorporated a unique gallery design to illustrate the beautiful creations from the Galvin brothers and a menu section to promote their signature dishes.
